A lifetime achievement for Sir Bobby Former 前任 England football manager Sir Bobby Robson received the Lifetime Achievement Award 终生成就奖 at Sunday"s BBC Sports Personality 人物of the Year show. The award recognises his contribution as both player and manager in a career spanning 跨越 more than half a century 半个世纪.
Robson received a standing ovation 全场起立鼓掌 upon accepting his award from Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Robson said he was delighted 非常高兴 to win, and described the awards as "prestigious 享有威望的" and "a terrific honour 荣誉".

Robson also showed modesty 谦虚 and gratitude to others in his acceptance speech 受奖感言, saying that he had not won the award on his own 靠自己, and thanking those who had supported him.
Thank you Nobody wins anything on their own. This award really is an opportunity for me to say thank you very much to everybody that has supported me.
Sir Bobby Robson
His professional playing career 职业足球生涯 spanned nearly 20 years during which he played for Fulham, West Bromwich Albion and Vancouver Royals. He also made 20 appearances for England, scoring four goals.
He then moved into football management 足球管理, and managed Ipswich from 1969 to 1982 before taking the England job from 1982-1990.
After working in Europe with PSV Eindhoven, Sporting Lisbon and Barcelona he returned to England to take the helm 担任教练 at Newcastle from 1999 to 2004.
Players from the 1986 and 1990 England World Cup sides formed a guard of honour 仪仗队.
