源自希腊语 harmonia, joint 共同的。

希腊神话中，哈耳摩尼亚 (Harmonia) 是阿瑞斯 (Ares, the god of war 战神 ) 和阿佛罗狄忒 (Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty 爱与美的女神 ) 的女儿，是和谐女神。

字根 harmon 和谐 也由此而来。
