我们坐在高高的谷堆旁边

Through clouds white like Lotus Flowers
the Moon is moving
Amidst joyful singing
the dusk breeze is blowing
Beside a tall grain heap
we are sitting
Stories from the past
Mommy is telling

那时候,妈妈没有土地,
全部生活都在两只手上,
汗水流在地主火热的田野里,
妈妈却吃着野菜和谷糠.

Then mommy had no land
She made a living with two hands
Her sweat dripping into the laird"s field
Nothing but wild grass and bran she ate.

冬天的风雪狼一样嚎叫,
妈妈却穿着破烂的烂衣裳,
她去给地主缝一件狐皮长袍,
又冷又饿跌倒在雪地上.
经过了多少苦难的岁月,
妈妈才盼到今天的好光景.

Wind howled like wolves in winter
In rags Mommy was, however
The laird ordered her to make a fox robe
Starving, she fell over
On the snow-covered ground
hard and freezing
Alas, the present-day good life
through so many years of pain
Mommy has finally seen
