源自拉丁文 fug ere, to flee 逃，离开。

★ re fug e n. 避难所，庇护所

｛ centri-, center 中心＋ -fug, to flee 离开＋ -al, of 形容词字尾，表「～的」 → 离开中心的 → 离心的，离心力的｝

★ febri fug e n. 退烧药

｛ febr-, fever 发烧＋ -i- 连接字母＋ -fug-, to flee 逃离＋ -e 字尾 → 逃离发烧 → 退烧 → 退烧药｝

★ fug itive adj. 逃亡的，逃跑的 n. 逃亡者，逃跑者

｛ fug-, to flee 逃＋ -itive , relating to 形容词字尾，表「与～有关的」 → 逃亡的，逃跑的 → 瞬间的｝

* The police were in a hurry to hunt a fugitive from justice. 警察正急于搜捕逃犯。
