Holland will contest their first World Cup Final for 32 years against Spain or Germany on Sunday after ending the South American challenge with a dramatic 3-2 win over Uruguay at the Green Point Stadium on Tuesday night.

Bert van Marwijk"s team ensured that the final in Johannesburg this weekend will be a European affair for the second World Cup running after surviving a late Uruguay fightback in Cape Town.

With the score level at 1-1 at half-time, Holland looked to be coasting after a controversial goal from Wesley Sneijder and a superb Arjen Robben header had taken them in to a seemingly unassailable lead.

But a goal from Maximiliano Pereira in injury time ensured a dramatic conclusion as Uruguay poured forward looking for an equaliser.

Afterwards Van Marwijk - whose team have a 100 per cent winning record stretching back to the beginning of qualifying - said: "I"m so proud that such a small country is in the final of a World Cup. Today, I just said to them, "Don"t let this chance slip away". They didn"t."

With the tournament crying out for an exciting game, the teams swapped spectacular goals in the first half as Holland"s Gio van Bronckhorst and then Uruguay"s Diego Forlan struck from distance.
But it was Sneijder"s goal that left a sour taste in Uruguayan mouths as his shot passed directly under the foot of Robin van Persie with the Arsenal striker standing in a marginally offside position.

"But it was the second goal that was decisive. Now you can see that Van Persie was offside and that the game could have been different. After that, they were more at ease.
