从美国总统就职演说讲起

昨天，奥巴马发表了就职演说，正式成为美国第一任黑人总统。 所以今天与大家分享的单词就是inaugural address （就职演说）和 inauguration ceremory （就职典礼）

An inauguration is a ceremony of formal investiture whereby an individual assumes an office or position of authority or power. The term is usually used in reference to a politician’s assumption of the duties of head of state or head of government (e.g. the President’s inauguration). An “inaugural address” is the presidential speech given at this ceremony.
