flict
源自拉丁文 fligere (to strike 打,打击 ) 的过去分词 flict us 的词干 flict- 。

flor, flour源自拉丁文 florere, flower 花。
大家可能发现 flour 既有 「 flower 花」的意思,又有「面粉」的意思。
从词源上讲, flour 和 flower 本是一个词,拼写常混用,原先既指「花」,也指「(谷物等磨成的)粉」(花是植物最好的部分;面粉是谷物最好的部分),直到 19 世纪, flour 与 flower 在拼写上有了正式区分,意义也才开始有了分工。
flour 表示「花」是 13 世纪由法语进入英语的,英语原来表示「花」的单词是: blossom 。
